Jack Frost (1998)
Jack Frost is a singer who's on the road most of the time so he can't spend a lot of time with his son, Charlie, although they love each other very much. When Jack is killed in a car accident, Charlie becomes a very sad boy, until...Jack returns as a snowman. Now they can do all the things they've missed when he was human, but what will people think when they see Charlie talking to a snowman and what will happen when the weather gets warmer?
He's the world's coolest dad and he's gonna prove it.
Charlie: You the man!
Jack: NO, I'm the SNOWMAN!

George Clooney was originally attached to the project. When he left to do Batman & Robin (1997), Michael Keaton, who originated the Batman role in live action eight years earlier, was cast into the lead role. Before Keaton took over, Jim Henson's Creature Shop had already designed their snowman animatronic specifically to Clooney's facial features and acting style.
Michael Keaton co-wrote two of the songs on the soundtrack.
Was released one year after Jack Frost (1997), a horror film featuring a mutant killer snowman.
Sam Raimi was once attached to the film as director, and even wrote a draft of the script with his brother Ivan.
Darren Criss auditioned for the role of Charlie Frost. It was his first movie audition ever.
Continuity
When Charlie is building the snowman, he places a "The Jack Frost Band" button onto him and we see the red scarf. In the next shot, Charlie is putting the scarf onto the snowman.
When Jack and his son Charlie are riding the toboggan (to get away from the bullies), Jack breaks the toboggan into two halves and Jack and Charlie ride separate halves down the hill. When they reach the bottom, Charlie is on a real snowboard, not half of the toboggan.
The tour sheet on the fridge shows the Denver concert as the 22nd. Next day (23rd) Charlie arrives home from school, and Jack is still traveling home. 24th is Charlie's hockey game, and that night Jack says to head to the cabin. The next day,25th, while packing, Jack gets a phone call to perform "Tomorrow", to which Gabby states is Christmas Day.
Despite the fact that they advanced ahead 1 year, everybody looks exactly the same (hairstyles, etc.).
When one boy is distracting bullies to throw snowballs at him, he has his back turned facing them. Then when he gets hit with the 'snowball slingshot', his front suddenly faces forward.
