Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw (2019)
Lawman Luke Hobbs and outcast Deckard Shaw form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain threatens the future of humanity.
Saving the world is easy, but working together is going to be a real pain in the ass.
Deckard Shaw: This job requires stealth. Look at you.
Luke Hobbs: I'm trying to save the world, which, for the record, will be my fourth time. 'Cause I'm really good at it.
Luke Hobbs: I'm what you call an ice-cold can of whoop-ass.

Dwayne Johnson said he tried hard to get Jason Momoa to play the role of Hobbs's brother, but scheduling issues prevented it from happening. However, Johnson gave fans hope for a future collaboration, adding, "Next Hobbs movie for sure." Vin Diesel then proceeded to go against Dwayne's plans by casting Momoa in Fast X as the sadistic, androgynous and flamboyant son of Fast Five's main villain, Hernan Reyes.
The idea of a "Fast & Furious" spin-off featuring Hobbs and Shaw first emerged during filming of The Fate of the Furious (2017), after producers and studio executives took note of the comedic chemistry between the two throughout their scenes together. Plans to actually develop the spin-off were informally green-lit towards the end of filming and they were later revealed to be the reason behind the much-discussed animosity that emerged between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in the final week of production, which resulted in Diesel reportedly canceling some of Johnson's scenes (which was within his purview as one of the movie's producers), and not showing up for filming at all on at least one day of production, leaving hundreds of cast and crew sitting idle. After news of the spin-off became public, co-stars Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz) and Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce) publicly criticized it for damaging the Fast & Furious "family", as well as pushing back the release of F9: The Fast Saga (2021) by at least a year. Johnson would subsequently quit the main franchise, opting not to return for the ninth, tenth and eleventh movies. He stated he still has plans to make Hobbs and Shaw 2, in which audiences would get to see his character "walk off into the sunset".
Deckard Shaw is about two years older than his sister Hattie. In reality, Jason Statham is twenty-one years older than Vanessa Kirby.
The exterior of the curved E.T.E.O.N. headquarters building is actually the McLaren Technology Centre, where the McLaren Formula 1 team is based. The building was added to a CGI landscape.
When Hobbs and the Shaws are reconnoitering before heading to Moscow, Hobbs is referencing all of the cars pertaining to Deckard Shaw overcompensating. When he gets to a Mini Cooper he says, "This is more like it." Shaw then claims he used it in a job in Italy. Jason Statham was a main character in The Italian Job (2003), re-make of 1969's The Italian Job (1969) in which the heist featured Mini Coopers driving through a mansion.
Continuity
When the attack on Samoa begins, it is supposed to be right before dawn. However, by the end of the attack it is midday. Since there was a 30 minute timer set right before the battle starts and just finishing up when the battle ends, it is clear that only 30 minutes passed. It should still be just after dawn when the action completes.
When Hobbs and Shaw are in the glass room meeting, Hobbs throws a chair that's next to the table at the glass towards the men on the other side. That chair lands on the floor near the glass, yet when the camera pans after that, it shows Hobbs hand on the backside of that same chair, and the chair is still at the table.
Even though a brick chimney (tons of bricks and dust) just landed on him, when Brixton gets back on his feet, he does not have a speck of dust or any sweat on him.
During the end credit scenes, the clock on the wall behind Locke remains the same time, despite what is presumed an off screen battle.
(at around 49 min) Hattie's face is covered in scratches and bruises while in Shaw's secret safe-house in London, but her face is completely healed after couple of hours in airport.
Factual errors
In the scene where a hand grenade is used as a booby trap in Shaw's sister apartment, we see the pin get pulled and the lever separate from the grenade. A few seconds later Shaw put the pin back in the grenade "making it safe." That's not how grenades work. It would have blown up in his hands as the primer would have been activated.
In the helicopter scene, the main villain yells at the pilot to climb. He then goes up and throws the pilot out and takes over. It is a common misconception that helicopter pilots sit in the same seat as airline pilots (left seat). Helicopter pilots sit in the right seat. He just threw out someone that wasn't the pilot.
During the London chase scene both the McLaren and the electric Triumph motorbike pass underneath two trucks. All heavy goods vehicle in the UK must be fitted with lateral protection device. These panels or bars run down the side of trailers to stop motorbikes or vehicles getting underneath long vehicles in the event of an accident.
After the confrontation in London, large displays announce the search for Hobbs and Shaw by law enforcement. One display shows a German newscast which has spelling errors and convoluted sentences.
When Hobbs shoots at the descending elevator car the bullets are heard to be bouncing off the glass but he is able to severely crack the glass by slamming a henchman's head into the glass.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs
During the final battle, Hobbs, Shaw and Hattie are fighting in the rain, while at the top of the cliff it is sunny. This is not an error. It can rain and be sunny simultaneously. This weather is called a "sunshower." It is common worldwide, so much so that various languages and cultures have their own term for it. For example, in Afrikaans and in Hindi, this phenomenon is described as Jakkals trou met wolf se vrou, meaning 'Jackal marries wolf's wife'. Revealing mistakes
During the battle at headquarters Hattie is stopped and turning to Hobbs an instant before he yells, "Stop!"
At around the 14:30 mark when Lock (Ryan Reynolds) holds up a piece of paper and starts describing CT17, the top left paragraph under CT17 "Snowflake" states "affectionately code-named the Unicorn". However Lock says "affectionately code-named the Snowflake".
Miscellaneous
During the first shot of Shaw the beginning of the movie, the woman in bed was lying to right of the bed; in the second shot, she is lying on the left side of the bed.
The Mini Deckard claims to have used in a job in Italy is a British Leyland original model Mini, while in the "Italian Job" remake, BMW Minis were used.
Crew or equipment visible
About 40 minutes in, when Shaw pulls up in his McLaren car, a reflection of the film crew is seen in the headlamp and on the side of the car.
Character error
Queenie says she has plenty of time in prison to do a lot of Suduko. The number puzzle game is called Sudoku.
