The Equalizer 2 (2018)
Director Antoine Fuqua reunites with Denzel Washington in this sequel to 2014's The Equalizer. Washington resumes his role as Robert McCall: a retired CIA Black Ops operative who now works as a Lyft driver and moonlights as a vigilante. When his long-time friend is murdered he embarks on a relentless, globe-trotting quest for vengeance.
There will be consequences.
Robert McCall: What you do, what you become, is not my concern. The world is full of so-called "men" like you, and, in a perfect world, everything we do comes with a price, but this ain't a perfect world. People do bad things. If you're lucky, you get a chance to set it right, but most of the time it goes unpunished. This ain't one of them times. The mistake you made was you killed my friend. So, I'm gonna kill each and every one of you, and the only disappointment in it for me is that I only get to do it once.

After over fifty-five film and television credits, this was Denzel Washington's first sequel.
Denzel Washington wanted the fight scenes he participated in to be as realistic as possible. So they brought in fighter Tyron Woodley to train Denzel for his fight scenes.
During filming, the crew whimsically referred to the movie as "The Sequelizer."
This was the first time director Antoine Fuqua directed a sequel to one of his own movies.
In July 2018, when asked about the possibility of The Equalizer 3, Antoine Fuqua expressed interest in returning to direct.
Continuity
When McCall is driving the assassin to the airport, McCall purposely rams his car into other parked cars to keep the assassin off-balance in the back seat. That damage disappears and re-appears in subsequent scenes.
When McCall is fighting against the hit man in his car, the back of the driver's seat McCall is sitting in spins around 180?.
In the driving scene where the assassin in the rear attacks him, they pass the same car twice. Once shown from the outside camera and then a few seconds later the same car passed again from the inside camera view.
After taking Amy to the hospital to get her stomach pumped, Robert pays a visit to the men that put her there. After he asks for their cell phones and any other video recording equipment, we see one of the men go to the door and lock it. When Robert leaves about a minute after, he doesn't have to unlock the door; he just pulls down the handle to open it. Rotary locks such as this work independently from the door handle.
Factual errors
Incorrectly regarded as Goof. Proust's 'In Search of Lost Time' is a seven-volume work and is much too big to fit in a single volume like the one McCall buys. If he's starting at volume one, the title on the cover should be 'Swann's Way' - or at the very least 'In Search of Lost Time Volume One'. It is true that Proust's work "In Search of Lost Time" would not fit in a single volume, The book McCall buys, with the blue cloth cover, is part of a series in 6 volumes, published by Folio Editions in 2005. The volume number is written on the spine, and is not seen in the movie.
At the beginning on the train, the whole time, nothing in the train is shaking. The whiskey in the bottle and in the shot glass does not shake\move. Even the Shinkansen (Bullet train) is not this smooth.
MA State Police vehicles are dark blue and grey, not like the scheme seen at the bridge.
The Washington, DC license plates on the BMW start with LH and ST on the Mercedes - in 2019, the highest first letter in the alphabet for these plates is a G.
In the beginning scene in a train, it appears it is supposed to be on a European train. Right after the screen goes dark they have a picture of outside the train flying by - the nose of a US General Electric Locomotive. Europe locos does not use this body of the loco.
Incorrectly regarded as goofs
Two members of Robert's former special ops team decide to assassinate Susan's husband. They drive up with a Mercedes right in front of the target's house before breaking in. Trained assassins would never park their vehicle right in front of a target's house, as local residents might link the vehicle to the assassins. Really smart trained assassins would not drive their personal car to a job. Stealing one would be a more tactical option.
When Robert beats up the men who abused the woman, he asks for any cell phones or cameras that they may have used. After the assault he never looks for them or takes them. This is made even more obvious because someone gave him a Lyft review after he left (which is its own problem).
When Dave is in the kitchen with his wife and kids, McCall enters and the wife tells Dave "it's one of your old Army buddies". Later in the movie, pictures show that McCall was in the Marine Corps, not the Army. No Marine wife would make the mistake of calling them Army buddies. Failure to follow the story. Dave and Robert were obviously part of a clandestine organization. The fabricated Marine cover story was for Dave's wife, who (also obviously) wasn't married to him at that time and was not a "Marine wife" as Dave was not a Marine.
Lyft drivers have no ability to take credit cards for payment. Also a Lyft rider's credit card is already valid if they are even getting a driver to pick them up. It stands to reason, however, that the men were drugged up and from the height of their financial seat didn't think about this impossible claim.
When McCall confronts the man on the train there are 3 other men sitting at the table. After he subdues 2 of them the third man is nowhere to be seen. He is sitting a short way down the car. McCall spoke to him.
Revealing mistakes
Clearly visible during the final 15 minutes of film, during the final shootout in a hurricane, David is on the tower, exposed to the hurricane rains and winds, yet never gets wet. McCall does not get wet either even though he runs through the hurricane wind and rain for the final 15 minutes. The three other bad guys are clearly soaking wet as they seek McCall out, but Dave and McCall never are wet at any time.
The false pizza delivery guy walked in the rain while posing to deliver pizza, but when the close up shows that neither his jacket nor the pizza bag have raindrops.
When Miles is hiding behind the two-way mirror and Kovac is looking directly at him (but can't see him due to the two-way mirror), the phone's light is illuminating his face. Kovac would have seen the light. In fact, Robert warns him of that later.
There are multiple occasions during the film when the weather changes rapidly from cloudy to clear and back.
Crew or equipment visible
When Dave goes to the trash bin outside his house, you can see the camera crew in the background trying to camouflage, but it didn't work.
Errors in geography
The Belgian hotel's hallways have North American-style exit signs, beige rectangles with "EXIT" illuminated in red letters. European-style exit signs are usually white and green rectangles, showing a stick figure running towards an open door.
The street-level establishing shot of what is claimed to be Brussels is clearly Prague, Czech Republic. There is a Czech storefront sign on the right side and the Polish consulate in the Czech Republic on the left.
The shot in Brussels where Interpol is visiting the murder scene, the police officer is wearing the uniform of a French "Gendarme", not a Belgian police officer.
